Jeff has over 28 years of experience working in the mental health field in Eastern Idaho, including the Idaho State Hospital and the Behavioral Health Center at EIRMC. Having worked extensively in both inpatient and outpatient settings, he has the experience and skill to work with individuals and families dealing with the full spectrum of mental health conditions focusing on patient-centered, individualized care. Jeff is a strong believer in utilizing both traditional and evidenced-based alternative treatment modalities to assist clients in reaching their highest level of functioning, by the least intrusive means. As a retired Navy Commander with 29 years of reserve and active duty service, he has a passion for working with clients dealing with trauma and PTSD, from any source. Jeff has also gained extensive experience in evaluating and treating ADHD in all age groups and finds great satisfaction in assisting individuals with this condition reach their potential. While obtaining his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, Jeff focused on methods to bring high-quality mental health care to the rural communities of Idaho, including removing barriers to the implementation of telehealth. Jeff has held positions as an adjunct professor at both Idaho State University and the University of North Dakota, teaching on topics of psychopharmacology and clinical advanced practice psychiatric nursing.
