Licensed Professional Counselor & Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist

During my growing up years I was afraid to let others know that my family was in therapy, as there were often negative stigma and stereotypes attached to it. Gratefully, getting help from a mental health professional today is more widely accepted. I can only hope the fact that I’ve spent time “on the couch” will mean I understand what you may be feeling and that you are not alone.

I strongly believe that we are not meant to be alone in this life. Sadly, many of us suffer difficulties that leave us feeling isolated and on our own. As a therapist I quickly gravitated to attachment work and I love to help individuals, couples, and families learn to connect and attach securely to each other. I have extensive training and practice in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which is the “gold standard” for this attachment work. I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). I have been a practicing mental health clinician since 2012.

Since 2002 I have been lucky enough to be married to a wonderful woman and together we are raising three awesome and challenging children. As a family we have experienced many things including adoption, ADHD, Tourettes with Coprolalia, depression, OCD anxiety, and autism. Needless to say, our family is also well acquainted with therapy. I love cycling, trail running, and being outdoors. I consider myself a triathlete even though I don’t particularly enjoy the swim. I don’t like needlessly wearing shoes; therefore, I have an extensive and unique collection of socks.
