If you've spent years feeling anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, you're not alone. You may find yourself constantly overthinking, people-pleasing, questioning your worth, or wondering why the same struggles keep showing up despite your best efforts. Many people carry the effects of painful life experiences long after the events have passed, often without realizing how deeply those experiences continue to shape their emotions, relationships, and sense of self.
Jenae believes many of our struggles make sense when viewed through the lens of trauma, attachment, and the nervous system rather than personal weakness. One of the most meaningful moments in therapy is when clients begin to understand themselves differently. Behaviors that once felt confusing or shameful often begin to make sense, replacing self-criticism with self-compassion and hope.
With nearly 20 years of experience, Jenae helps teens, adults, and families heal from trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, substance use disorders, and relationship challenges. While she works with a wide variety of concerns, including anxiety, OCD, PTSD, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, much of her practice focuses on adults recovering from complex trauma, childhood emotional wounds, narcissistic or emotionally abusive relationships, and patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and chronic self-doubt.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. Jenae integrates EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), mindfulness, and 12-Step informed recovery principles. Together, you will work to calm the nervous system, process unresolved experiences, rebuild self-trust, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Whether you are seeking deep healing from long-standing trauma or support through a difficult season of life, Jenae strives to provide a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and emotionally safe. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Arizona State University and her Master's degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University. Jenae offers both in-person sessions in Mesa and telehealth throughout Arizona, along with a complimentary 15-minute consultation to help determine whether she is the right fit for your needs.
