Jeni Steele MCMH LAC

I believe that wellness and balance is our natural state of being. My work is focused on people who experience anxiety and/or betrayal trauma. Both are incredibly painful. You might feel confusing emotions like intense fear, numbness, and anger. Or maybe you bounce between feeling lost and the ridged anxiety of holding it all together. This isn’t a permanent state of being.

When you come to my space, you're going to be able to relax. When we meet, we’re going to slow down to listen and heal. I’ll help you find clarity and peace. I’ll help you learn how to trust yourself and feel good about who you are.

My current work as a betrayal trauma and anxiety-focused therapist is an evolution of personal and professional curiosity.  This curiosity began with my undergrad in Human Development at Utah State University and grew to include trauma-informed yoga/movement and meditation. Since 2012, I have focused my practice on mentoring, retreats, writing, podcasting, and developing community resources. I soon realized my need for more education and professional support which led me to complete a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands.

When I’m not in the office you’ll find me being just as human as you are. I like tacos, a freshly mowed lawn, and waking up before my alarm goes off. My zen places are paddle boarding the river or road tripping with my two kids and our dog.
